Summary : | The Lompoc Police Department would like to congratulate two newly promoted Officers to Corporal. Michael Miller and Stephen Pena were officially sworn in as Corporals during a swearing-in ceremony which took place at Lompoc City Hall. Chief Kevin Martin and the City Clark administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Corporals in the presence of their families and friends.
Corporal Miller was born and raised in Buellton, CA and has been a Police Officer for the city of Lompoc since 2012. During his tenure with the Lompoc Police Department, Corporal Miller has held the positions of Patrol Officer, (SRO) School Resource Officer, Explorer Advisor, Detective, and (FTO) Field Training Officer. He is also part of the Crisis Negotiation Team and Peer Support Team.
Corporal Miller and his wife have been married for 10 years and have adopted their 4 children. They are in the process of adopting their 5th. Corporal Miller enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, and volunteering in his community.
Corporal Stephen Pena was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA and has been a Police Officer for the city of Lompoc for 6 years. During his tenure with the Lompoc Police Department, Corporal Pena has held the positions of Patrol Officer and SRO. He is also an FTO, a SWAT team member, and a firearms instructor.
