On Friday, September 28th, the Citrus Heights Police Department (CHPD) received a Diversity and Inclusion Award for valuing and respecting all individuals as contributing members of their communities. For the last 5 years, CHPD has partnered with Progressive Employment Concepts to incorporate their clients into our Police Department. Volunteer Service Program, empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive in the police department environment. These volunteers are assigned to work up to 12 hours per week and assist with routine crime prevention patrol, code enforcement assignments, paperwork and crime  prevention outreach.  Progressive Employment Concepts (PEC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to diversity and equality. Individuals with developmental disabilities utilize their services to be valued and successful contributing members of the community. Employers utilize their services to find skilled and dedicated employees. With the support of PEC, the individuals they work with and their communities prosper. Executive Director, Carole Watilo
