Meeker, Colo. – Firefighters worked late into the night to check the growth of the 2 separate fires southwest of Meeker, Colo.
The Ridge Top fire is approximately 150 acres, all private land and is located about mile marker 27 highway 13. (Rest area)
Fawn creek fire is approximately 50 acres on BLM and Private lands and in located on Rio Blanco County Road 29. Fire officials do not currently have a containment estimate on the Fawn Creek fire and the Ridge Top fire is approximately 70% contained. The cause of the fires are believed to be lightning.
